How should the Gerber data be organised?

Your Gerber and drill data should be complete and exported according to industry standards (RS-274X or ODB++). Please ensure that all layers are included (copper, solder resist, placement print, drill data) and that the files are clearly labelled.

What must the BOM file contain?

The bill of materials (BOM) must be provided by the client with Mouser and Digikey components be specified and contain the following information:

What production standards does RedBridge EMS fulfil?

RedBridge EMS works with one of the renowned PCA assembly companies in Shenzhen and fulfils international production standards.

Among other things, we offer
● Data preparation & data checking (Gerber, Drill, BOM)
● Electrical testing of PCBs
● Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
● X-ray inspection to check concealed solder joints (e.g. BGA)

What happens if components cannot be procured?

If certain components are still not available after the BOM has been validated, we will suggest equivalent alternatives. The decision on spare parts is always yours - we will not procure alternatives without your approval.

Which suppliers does RedBridge EMS work with?

We prefer to source components via Mouser and Digikey, as they offer broad availability and a high level of transparency. Alternatively, we also work with local suppliers in Shenzhen - always directly from the source and with clear quality assurance.

What happens if positions are unclear?

If a specification in the BOM is not clear, the process will not be released for the next step. Alternatively, we will contact you directly. In this way, we avoid incorrect assemblies and ensure that only the components you have approved are used. Furthermore, this guarantees efficient and cost-effective processing

What technical requirements does RedBridge EMS fulfil?

We work together with one of the renowned PCA assembly companies in Shenzhen. Our process fulfils international standards including AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), X-ray inspection, electrical testing and needle test applications.

What are the average delivery times for prototypes and series?

Prototypes
From 1 piece, on average from 6 to 7 weeks at the customer.

Series production
From 25 pieces, also usually from 6 to 7 weeks - depending on component availability and scope of testing.

Express orders
Please ask us about express orders. These can be processed from 4 to 5 weeks.

Which technical specifications can RedBridge EMS implement?

RedBridge EMS can realise a wide range of PCB and assembly specifications, including
● Number of layers: up to 12 layers (more on request)
● Copper thicknesses: 1 oz, 2 oz and higher depending on requirements
● Minimum conductor track width/spacing: from 4 mil (0.1 mm)
● Drill diameter: from 0.2 mm
● Surface finish: HASL, ENIG (chem. gold), OSP
Assembly: SMD (incl. fine pitch & BGA) and THT

Where are the components procured?

For A and B parts, we favour procurement via international distributors such as Avnet, EBV
Elektronik, Mouser, Digikey or comparable authorised distributors. Alternatively, certified local
suppliers in the country of manufacture.
